Teeth
This cute cuddly little boy is 15 weeks old now and his first 2 teeth have broken through... We're stunned! And to make it even crazier; it's not in the middle, but 2 corner teeth!

Winter tea
I made my own wintertea! I had this bag of loose black tealeaves still lingering in my closet for ages, but was running out of store-bought winter tea bags. And by adjusting certain spices it turned out to be a lovely “winter flavoured tea”. And best thing is; I can make about 6 cups of tea out of 1 teaspoon of loose teamix. Much more than from a store bought teabag!
This is my recipe:
6 tbsp loose black tea
2 cinnamon sticks (crushed in small pieces)
1 tsp fennel seeds
16 cloves (crushed)
Just mix it all together and store in a dry place.
I haven’t tried it yet, but I think spices like star anise and nutmeg will do well too in this mix. Or adding a few pieces of orange or Clementine zest to the mix when making the tea (not in the dry mix you store!). Maybe a few pieces of crushed almonds will also give a nice soft flavour…

Dissatisfied
My dissatisfaction with my work is growing. I wrote about it before . Last week was my first week back at work and exhausted me so much that the weekend was not enough to rest and get over my cold. So I called in sick for yesterday and today. I’m still in doubt if I’ll go back to work tomorrow…
But this first week and the following weekend made it clear to me again; I’m not at all happy with being back at work. To sum it all up, this is what I have against it;
It causes stress, stress, stress;
- getting up (too) early in the morning
- waking up Marc before I leave (an alarm clock isn’t enough for him to wake up)
- catching my bus on time
- leaving work in time to catch the bus back
- rushing home to play a bit with the kids
- do some housework or groceries
- cook and eat dinner
- get the kids in bath & bed
- get myself in bed on time.
Just to do it all over again the next day, and the day after that, and the day after that one and so on till weekend kicks in. And because of the stress and rushing I do things half; housework, groceries, playing with the kids, taking care of Marc and myself. It’s all done half… It lacks quality and leaves me dissatisfied.
And for what? Just for the money… The money is good and we can’t miss it. But I hate putting that much energy into something as shallow as money.
So I keep pondering on a solution and striving for more quality in the things I do.

My first week at work
My first week back at work has almost ended. How did it went? Well, it was exhausting. The work was ok; after reading through 230 emails I was pretty much up to date about everything again. But with the broken nights (Mika still wants a bottle sometime during the night), getting up earlier than I was used to and a cold, I feel very tired now. Glad the weekend starts for me in 15 minutes from now. Hope the kids give me some time to sleep this afternoon…
